Rosaura Figueroa Mendoza is a Queer, Chicana Artist from South Hayward, CA.

She’s the daughter of Mexican immigrants from Jalisco + Sinaloa, a sister, auntie + friend. She grew up listening to music, reading + writing for fun.

Upon graduating from Mt. Eden High School in 2009, she attended San José State University, where she earned a degree in Sociology + Concentration in Community Change.

Rosaura is the Founder + Creative Director of StackFest. She’s also a Board Member of Beyond The Ring, Inc., a nonprofit started by her coach, Robert Osorio. She loves boxing, capoeira with Mestre Recruta, dancing + jiu-jitsu.
